[Solved] Paste Options/Paste Special Not Working
Paste Options/Paste Special Not Working
I'm trying to open Ms. Word first, it has all functions Copy/ Paste Special and then I open the Google Chrome, the Paste Special has gone immediately. I tried with IE, it had the same problem.
It's disable Paste Option / Paste Special with the source: unknown when I opened Google Chrome or IE.

It's disable Paste Option / Paste Special with the source: unknown when I opened Google Chrome or IE.
This can be caused by the Skype Click to Call add-on (version 5.1.0.9560) that is installed into your browser when you install Skype. Version 5.1.0.9560 has been known to cause the following issues:
- You use Copy in Excel, Word or PowerPoint and it only pastes Text. Formatting is lost.
- You use Cut in Word or PowerPoint and it only pastes Text. Formatting is lost.
- You use Cut in Excel and it performs a Copy and Paste as Text. The original information remains and the pasted information loses formatting and formulas.
- When you use the right click menu to Paste, the Paste options are limited to Text.
- When you attempt to copy formulas in Excel, Excel only pastes the values.
- When you attempt to click on the Format Painter button in the Ribbon, it does not work.
- When you attempt to drag and drop cells within Excel, an error message displays "The Clipboard cannot be emptied. Another program might be using the Clipboard."
Solution
1. Uninstall Skype or
2. Skype has released a new version of the Click to Call add-on that resolves this issue. You can download the newest version by clicking on the following link and then clicking the Download Now button:

Instructions
To fix the association for a particular file type:
- Download the corresponding fix from the above table. (Use Right-click – Save as option in your browser to download the fixes.)
- Unzip the file and extract the .REG file to Desktop.
- Right-click the REG file and choose Merge. Alternately, you can open the Registry Editor and then using the Import option from the File menu, to merge the REG file contents.
Note that you need to be an administrator to apply these fixes.
